When
it comes to one proposition that those who take wagers (bookies)
may fear, it's six-point teasers.Andy Iskoe's Nfl Teasers And Totals
explains each wager for the novice then shows how to apply some
leverage under the right circumstances to enhance any betting. Of
course "shopping" for the right numbers under the right
circumstances is vital.
Iskoe looks
back six seasons for teaser trends in 27 separate categories, then
for those who want to look at it for the last six years overall
or just the last three seasons overall, he offers that as well.
Pittsburgh,
for example, was 8-0 as a home favorite in six-point teaser situations
last year and 13-2 on grass in 2001. Against playoff teams they
are 14-2 for the past three years with a six-point teaser. The Chicago
bears went under seven times in eight games last year against divisional
teams and went under four times in their first four games. The Cleveland
Browns went over in 12 of 16 games last season on grass. Indianapolis
went over seven times in eight games against divisional foes and
was 7-1 on the road. For the past three season the Colts are an
over team on grass, showing 11 overs in 14 tries.
A special section
of the book shows how the total points scored in regular season
NFL games have fallen since 1981 in more than 4,600 games from three
points to 99 points. He shows that one out of six games falls on
one of four key numbers -- 37, 41, 51 or 30.
For those "students"
of betting the teaser bet or totals, this is an enormous time-saving
work.
