LAS VEGAS - A Las Vegas man who said he had been playing Quartermania® for months hit it big to the tune of $4.1 million at the Orleans Casino on Nov. 17. IGT, the company which operates the state-wide progressive system, has been running ads saying that the Quartermania® game was statistically overdue and the winner, who asked to remain anonymous, said he set out to win the jackpot. He said that it was his routine to play the same machine at the Orleans -- and it was at this machine where his persistence paid off.

Two other MegaJackpots(TM) systems, Megabucks® and Jeopardy® Slots, are also statistically overdue for a jackpot (although actual jackpots occur randomly.) As of November 17, Megabucks®, a three-coin dollar game, is at $19,640,500 and Jeopardy®, a three-coin quarter game, is $1,872,500.

The $4,125,723 jackpot is the largest ever on Quartermania®; the previous record was $3.7 million won in 1997. Quartermania® was the world's second MegaJackpots(TM) system; only Megabucks® has been around longer.
