VALLEY CENTER, CA – The 52-year-old real estate agent Ellen Lockwood, of Escondido, CA, won a $945,531 jackpot Thanksgiving night playing a slot machine at the Harrah's Rincon Casino. And that is not the first time she has won that much cash.

In January, Lockwood won a $1 million jackpot at the same casino. That's the first time it has happened in California, said a spokesman for the slot machine maker.

"You have to play the maximum bet to win big," she said, which in her case means she bets 75 nickels on each pull. "My only other advice is don't spend more than you can afford. Don't bet the rent money."
