It’s that time
of year again, when Reno fills up with the cowboys, and the spirit
of the cowboy rises... yep...it is nearly time for the Reno Rodeo,
which runs from June 21-29 and if you haven’t been to a good
old-fashioned rodeo for a long time, I’d be heading to Reno.
It’s one of the best events going, and the whole town turns
into one bundle of fun during this event.
Speaking of
Wild West activities, Gold Dust West has a Reno Rodeo VIP Offer
for Gold Rush Club members, so if you have a card, and have 10,500
cash points, or $17.50 in comp dollars, you can purchase Reno Rodeo
VIP passes and see the rodeo from the best seats (other than a saddle,
they say!) Also, during the month of June, guests can take a shot
at pulling a prize from their Chute when they check in... and win
rodeo tickets, free rooms, free food and other valuable offers...
or just drop in for the Rodeo Week special at the Wildwood Restaurant
and grab a cowboy platter with a quarter barbecued roasted chicken
and a half rack of Baby Back Ribs, served with fries and coleslaw
for $8.99! Just remember, if you are going to the Gold Dust West,
that they don’t allow anybody under 21 inside the doors of
the casino or the restaurant. This is a 21 and over club only...
Boomtown
Hotel and Casino had a big video keno winner! And I don’t
mean chump change big... I mean really BIG. Joe Lazaro III won $60,088
on a multi-denominational Game King Keno... he was playing four-card
keno with a 50-cent bet when he hit the biggest jackpot of his life!
I’ve got the winner’s photo for it... So if you have
been listening to the experts who seem to slap keno around, I still
say it is worth a try, and I think this is the proof!

Reno is host to the famous Chippendales... From May 30 to July
4 Chippendales will be lighting up women’s eyes as they celebrate
their 25th anniversary! They will be adorning Sammy’s Showroom,
tickets are $24.95 and $34.95. You must be 18 and older to attend,

Reno had a big winner too! Raymond, from Oregon was playing
"Swing Time Betty" ( Boop that is...) When he hit the
big one for $178,301. Not too shabby! You can view the photo on

Gambling Weekly, which will keep you doubly informed about events
