Atlanta, GA - Stephen Moore, a 30-year-old Army staff sergeant stationed in South Korea, correctly selected the numbers for Tuesday`s (9/30) Mega Millions drawing and became the largest winner in Georgia Lottery history. There was one winning ticket sold for Tuesday`s drawing, worth an annuitized $150 million. Mr. Moore selected the cash option, which amounted to approximately $88.9 million before taxes.
"It`s always exciting when a Mega Millions jackpot ticket is purchased in Georgia," said Georgia Lottery Corporation Interim President and CEO Cathy Walls. "Just as exciting is knowing how much Georgia`s students are gaining through the educational programs we fund."
The winning numbers for Tuesday`s Mega Millions drawing were: 2-26-37-40-46 and the Mega Ball was 49. The Quik Pik ticket was purchased at Flash Foods #0155, located at 603 N. Grant St. in Fitzgerald.
