LAS
VEGAS -- On April 15, 2004, Station Casinos, Inc.
executives broke ground on Red Rock Station Resort and
Casino.
"We
believe this is the best locals gaming and entertainment
site in the valley. This is an exciting day not only for
our Company but also for our team members and residents
of the northwest Las Vegas valley who will soon be able
to enjoy Station-style entertainment closer to where they
live," said Frank Fertitta III, chairman and CEO
of Station Casinos.
The
$450 - $475 million Red Rock Station Resort will be located
at the intersection of I-215 and West Charleston Boulevard
and represents Station Casinos' entry into the northwest
portion of the valley. The resort will employ more than
2,000 team members and include an 87,000 square foot casino
with 2,700 slot and video poker machines, 60 gaming tables,
a state-of-the-art race and sports book, a 12-table poker
room and a 600-seat bingo parlor. The resort will also
include 400 hotel rooms, 10 full-service restaurants,
a nightclub, a 16-screen Regal Cinemas and a childcare
facility. The property will feature 40,000 square feet

"Red
Rock Station will be a category-killer. We are taking
everything we've learned throughout the last two decades
and improving upon it, which will once again raise the
standard of entertainment options for our local and regional
customers," said Fertitta. "While we will be
bringing new and exciting restaurant concepts to the Summerlin
area for our local customers, Red Rock Station's superior
quality and range of amenities will also attract guests
from throughout the region," said Fertitta.
Red
Rock Station is expected to be completed in early 2006.
Some of the nation's most prestigious firms are involved
in designing Red Rock Station, including Portland-based
Architropolis, Las Vegas-based The Friedmutter Group and
SADI, all of whom also participated in the design of Green
Valley Ranch Station Casino in Henderson, Nevada.
The
resort will be the heart of Summerlin Center, Summerlin's
400 acre downtown urban mixed use center, that at buildout
will feature a regional retail center, Class A office
buildings and mid-rise residential.
