Las Vegas Man Wins $13.6 Million at
The Palms Casino

LAS VEGAS, Nevada - In the poker room of the Palms Casino where he plays regularly, he is known as Lucky Mickey and Michael Glass earned the moniker this afternoon when he won $13.6 million on Nevada Megabucks®. The 56-year old retired postal worker moved to Las Vegas several months ago and said he plays poker and Megabucks nearly every day at the Palms.

"This afternoon a lady won $900 on the machine that I had been playing so I went to another machine and, on my second or third pull, the Megabucks symbols fell into place. My glasses must have steamed over or something because when that third symbol showed up, everything got blurry. I just couldn't believe it," Glass said.

"It may sound weird but when I came home from Vietnam, I just knew I'd be a millionaire one day," he said. "When I lived through the war, I knew that the guy upstairs would take care of me."

Glass isn't sure how he'll spend his money other than helping his three children and three grandchildren. "I'll continue to play poker at the Palms and enjoy my life," he said. "Isn't that what money is for?"
