Sky Kings takes to the road

As reported by Reuters

2005 witnessed a major event in the on-line gaming sector with the launch of Sky Kings Casino - www.skykingscasino.com an extension of land-based operator Sky International Inc.

Combining the Sky kings' team experience of the on-line sector with the expertise of the land-based casino operations, the aim is to extend the player experience from the traditional gaming floor out over the Internet based on solid values of trust, credibility and accountability.

The bridging of the gap between on-line and land-based will also be assisted by the development of exceptionally high levels of customer service and support.

In addition to the email and chat room support typically found on gaming sites, Sky Kings has taken a major initiative with players invited to select their very own 'Casino Host' who will provide any necessary assistance or advice.

The Casino Hosts are real people who come from a variety of gaming backgrounds and can converse in several languages.

The casino's mission is to make available to players who choose to play on-line, the benefits enjoyed by key players at land-based casinos.

A prime example of this was seen recently at the International Casino Exhibition in London where the casino launched its latest initiative, the Sky Kings Roadshow.

Converting a double-decker London bus and fitting it out with high-tech systems and Internet terminals, the aim is to bring online casinos to the UK public, revealing the 'face' behind Sky Kings and promoting fair gaming.

The Sky Kings product and player experience is essentially a hybrid, somewhere between land-based and online gaming, with the experience simply a logical extension to Sky International's land-based operations.

A look at the Sky Kings site confirms that behind it lies a very real and vibrant business. Experienced players will take comfort from Sky Kings use of Playtech software, renowned for its integrity and security. The site is attractive, clear, and easy to navigate.

The Sky Kings casino features 67 games, including 7 multi-player and 10 progressive jackpots. Casino games include European and American Roulette, Craps, Sicbo, Blackjack, Baccarat, Casino War, Pai Gow, Poker Three, Let Them Ride, Black Dog and Blackjack Switch, a highly entertaining blackjack derivative.

The site has a substantial slots offering which should satisfy every type of player, with three and five reel slots, some of which have multi-line features.

There are also 15 video slots, including three versions of five reel 9 liners and some interesting three reel, three row multispin games.

A fast download gives rapid access, and the 'Play for Fun' feature provides players the option of trying the casino before depositing and playing for real money.

Deposits and payments may be made through credit or debit card, Neteller, Firepay, Citadel, 900 Pay, Moneybookers, Instacash, ECO Card, Instadebit, Paysafe Card, Wire Transfer, Bank Draft, UseMy Bank, On Demand Funds, Solo and Switch.

Malaysia's Genting Confirms Bid For Singapore Casino

As reported by the Yahoo Finance

Singapore -Genting Bhd., which runs Malaysia's sole casino, Monday confirmed it was bidding to build Singapore's proposed integrated resort with gaming facilities.

"Genting International PLC and Star Cruises Limited, which are member companies of the Genting Group, have made a joint 50:50 submission in response to the Singapore Tourism Board's Request for Concepts for Integrated Resorts at the Marina Bayfront and the Sentosa sites," the company said in a brief statement.

It didn't give further details.

Genting's 56.8%-owned Resorts World Bhd. holds 34.4% of Star Cruises Ltd., the world's third-biggest cruise operator in capacity terms.

Analysts told Dow Jones Newswires earlier that Genting executives had first mentioned the proposal at an analysts' briefing Saturday.

If Singapore goes ahead with the project, competition will be intense. For instance, U.S. Wynn Resorts Ltd., operator of some of Las Vegas' biggest and most lavish casino resorts, Monday said it submitted a proposal for the resort.

At least five other proposals are expected from a host of foreign and Singapore companies for the resort, which is part of the island state's efforts to boost tourism.

The Red Hawk Sports Bar, across the street from Depot Casino, has 33 slots, a convenience store and a bar. The land to be acquired with the two properties is approximately five acres. We see opportunities to leverage the unrestricted gaming licenses and build on the established customer bases in each location."

Mr. Szony continued, "Since diversifying from our downtown Reno Sands Regency property through the acquisitions of Gold Ranch in 2002 and of Rail City in 2004, our company has experienced tremendous growth, and we look forward to the opportunities that Depot Casino and Red Hawk Sports Bar in nearby Dayton offer us in terms of expansion, cross-marketing and cultivating additional future growth."
