Tip of the
Week:
Spring is officially
here. I could have said technically because Spring Equinox is traditionally
March 21 but this year the Sun enters Aries in the Tropical Zodiac on
March 20, at 4:34 am Pacific Time. The Zero degrees Aries Point or Vernal
Equinox point is very powerful both literally and symbolically. This
is the day that sacred sights and chambers are activated by direct sun
light. It is also symbolic of the waxing half moon and, of course the
season of spring. Western Astrology pays great tribute to this sacred
annual event; it is the foundation of the "Tropical Zodiac".
This Astrology recognizes the powerful relationship between Sun, Earth
and Moon. Call it real solar time. While Western and Eastern Astrology
†Vedic - agree on the twelve constellations of the
Zodiac, Vedic and other eastern systems of Astrology pay closer attention
to the Precession of the Equinoxes. This is reason for the "Sidereal
Zodiac". The Precession is a 26,000 year cycle caused by a wobble
in the Earth's spin on its axis causing a gradual shift that in turn
makes the constellations appear to slip backward. To date the count
is about 23 degrees behind the zero degree Aries Point alignment. There
is much to say about the difference of the two systems and both have
great merit and do work. Yet, the Sun is a great authority in our actual
daily lives and the distant stars in the constellations are significant
yet secondary. The Sun is the closest celestial expression of divine
power as it is the giver and creator of our physical life. Glory Be
- to our Sun! Happy Spring everyone.
Aries (Mar 21 †Apr 20)
Spring is your time
of the year! That Mercury turned retrograde on March 19 (3/19 â€
4/12) is a sign of some unexpected surprises over the next few weeks
at least and throughout the year to some extent, if it is retrograde
when you have your birthday. This influence inclines towards proving
oneself. Poor judgment and impulsive thinking are the culprits to avoid.
Exercise patience with your sense of progress and scope of knowledge.
You're beautiful just the way you are!
Taurus (Apr 21 †May 20)
Do you feel the
pull to lay low for awhile? There are some indications that you do.
This urge may clash with another side of you that feels bold, revolutionary
and determined to shake things up. Ideally, you are on the verge of
valuable self realizations and perhaps even artistic expressions of
one kind or another. An 'all for one and one for all' attitude will
see you through. Give your brain a rest and let inspirations rise from
your heart.
Gemini (May 21 †Jun 20)
Realizations about
who you are and what you truly need and want are emerging in your mind.
In some respects, you are unpredictable than ever these days. The classic
contradiction is that you want both deep communion and plenty of freedom
simultaneously †a loner yet needing social stimulation.
Staying balanced and sensible with your thoughts and choices will require
extra effort while Mercury is retrograde. Go for personal reform!
Cancer (Jun 21 †Jul 21)
Authentic self-expression
continues as a central theme. You are in a good position to forge ahead
and taking the lead to set a new pace for yourself and others. Trusting
what you already know is important now. There will be time to acquire
new knowledge but this is not exactly it. Gaining new skills from hands
on experience will probably prove much more satisfying and effective.
Draw upon existing resources and creative expressions.
Leo (Jul 22 †Aug 22)
An exuberant and
expansive mood is rising for you. A passion for people is about take
a new twist. You want love, affection and romance and may break rules
to get it if it is not readily available. A sudden yearning for adventure,
travel and exotic culture is also a source of excitement. With Mercury
retrograde, however, there is some caution in the air and it may not
be wise to just throw it to the wind. How will you maintain your center
as the temperature rises?
Virgo (Aug 23 †Sep 21)
You are in a process
of shedding old skins. These may be physical, mental or emotional or
all of the above. Remembering that as a spiritual being you are more
than these aspects of your personality will help. Your spirit is the
Self that watches without judgment, fear or reaction. Rather, this witness
is present in the moment and observing life with passive interest, curiously
and, most importantly, faithful assurance that it exists beyond the
personality. Take an experimental approach.
Libra (Sep 22 †Oct 21)
Improving the quality
of your offering in some fashion continues. However, this week the momentum
shifts to a much more engaging approach. With Mercury retrograde, be
patient with your ability to share your new ideas. Perhaps you need
to more fully digest them and proceed with what is more familiar for
now. You will meet a more receptive audience in a month. For now, make
contacts and set dates for that optimal time.
Scorpio (Oct 22 †Nov 21)
Wow, who substituted
the gas for rocket fuel? Something is igniting in and/or around you.
Interestingly, this includes a dreamy, imaginative and inspired creative
desire to express. Revolutionary action of some kind is very likely.
Exotic, exciting and colourful music comes to mind to match the mood.
Acting independently and/or assertively to realize dreams is part of
the plot. Trust your own flow now and invite but don't expect others
to understand or engage.
Sagittarius (Nov 21 †Dec 20)
You are in a revolutionary
mood. You are ready to take a creative lead demonstrate the creative
leadership that runs in your veins. The funny thing is that you tend
to take life too seriously, on one hand, and not seriously enough, on
the other. The time has come to make some important choices and to at
least get ready to take more deliberate action. Whatever is happening
in your life, consider that you created it somehow. So, continue to
co-create it now!
Capricorn (Dec 21 †Jan 19)
The warrior within
has just sounded a battle cry. You are eager now to break on through
to the other side. In certain respects, your perspectives and approach
may be radical and excessive. However, you recognize that there is not
very much sand left in the top portion of the hour glass. Balancing
the contradictory desires to advance and to retreat requires creative
consideration. This is a good time to begin one of those dream projects.
Aquarius (Jan 20 †Feb 19)
Spring is here and
you are in the mood to spring into action. Mars just entered your sign
a few days ago and now the Sun is in Aries. This signifies an active
period for you. Expect to take some unexpected initiatives over the
next several weeks. Fortunately this phase includes a good measure of
energy and enthusiasm. While it may be a good idea to sign important
documents after Mercury goes direct, this is a good time to set intentions
and take initiative.
Pisces (Feb 19 †Mar 20)
The time has come
to assert a more dynamic momentum and to express a more confident style.
While outer measures are important, it is at least as important to work
inwardly. This includes identifying and clearing limiting beliefs. It
is increasingly possible to do so thanks to the advances in psychology,
yet most people continue to live according to limiting beliefs and self-concepts.
Do some investigation to make changes inside and out!
