Maitre D'Adolfo Conti Spices Up
the Bicycle Club Casino
Finding
a great restaurant in Los Angeles isn't a hard thing to do! But how
many exquisite dining houses offer you the fun and excitement of a
great hand of cards AND the services of Maitre D' Adolfo Conti? Using
his creative genius and masterful skills, Conti gives new meaning
to the phrase "after dinner delight!'' Conti, who is the director
and owner of "Just Desserts!'' a gourmet dessert catering service,
assisted with The Steak House opening at The
Bicycle Club Casino earlier this year. He has traveled the globe,
working in some of the finest restaurants in the world; including
Dallas' famed Brennan's. Since beginning his dessert- catering career,
Conti has whipped up spectacular sweets for many rich and famous taste
buds. Clientele who have enjoyed his luscious goodies include former
Presidents Ronald Reagan and George Bush, the late Frank Sinatra,
Michael Jackson, George Hamilton and Tom Jones, for whom Conti once
worked exclusively in Acapulco!
While
Conti's passion has always leaned towards sweet-tooth offerings; the
challenge of introducing a new gourmet restaurant to Los Angeles was
too much to pass up! The Steak House features some of the most delectable
items around. Start your meal off with The Steak House's special "French
Onion Soup Au Gratin with Caramel Maui Onions.'' It's something you'll
come back for, again and again! Exquisitely presented entrees include
such items as "Potato Crusted White Seabass, served with a zesty
Mandarin orange Aioli sauce'' and a delectable "Bacon Wrapped
Filet Mignon served Napoleon style with balsamic marinated grilled
Portobello mushrooms and Madeira sauce!''
Of
course, The Steak House boasts Adolfo's spectacular flambe desserts
prepared tableside for our guests' enjoyment! Conti's dessert extravaganzas
are all Flambe! Describing his presentation of desserts on fire, Conti
says, "When the final curtain is rung down on the dinner table,
it is far more festive, and frequently more flavorful, if it is a
curtain of flames!''
The
Steak House special desserts include Banana Foster, Cherries Jubilee
and Strawberries Romanoff. Conti's specialties also include a variety
of coffees like Cafe Napoleon, Cafe Diablo, Cafe Copacabana and others
... all prepared Flambe. "A good cup of coffee is the crowning
glory of a great dinner,'' Conti states. His coffees are embellished
with an array of curly orange peels, cloves and cinnamon sticks.
The
Steak House is open for lunch Monday through Friday 11:30 a.m. - 2:30
p.m. and dinner is served Tuesday - Saturday 5:00 p.m. - 10:00 p.m.
(Closed Sundays). Reservations are recommended! Call 562.806.4646
ext. 478 or 545.

Isle
of Capri Casinos Rolls out
New Boat and Brand in Iowa
|
|
Isle
of Capri Casinos recently unveiled plans for the company's first
off-shoot brand as well as a new casino vessel for the soon-to-be-acquired
Davenport, Iowa, President
Casino property.
Rhythm City
will be the casino's new name, featuring a lively musical theme
to be used throughout the decor as well as marketing efforts.
The concept is an effort to develop a separate brand identity
for the billion- dollar company, which utilizes a tropical, Caribbean
theme for its other 12 properties, nationwide.
Along with
the new name comes a new gaming vessel, The Queen of the Red,
a larger and more state-of-the-art riverboat. With over 30,000
square feet of casino space, the boat will feature approximately
1069 slots and 42 tables.
|
The riverboat
is planned to be in place by this April and the name and theme
will be introduced by summer 2001. The closing is subject to
approval by the Iowa Racing and Gaming Commission, which is
expected to meet on Friday, September 15, and other governmental
bodies.

Hawk, Colorado; Bettendorf
