Woman
gives birth in casino

ATLANTIC CITY, N.J. – As reported by the
Press of Atlantic City: "A city woman left a casino
Saturday with the biggest jackpot of all — a newborn
baby boy.
"Nyree
Thompson, 32, was playing the penny slots at about 9:30
a.m. at Resorts Atlantic City when, she said, she felt
labor pains that she at first mistook for gas pains.
"Thompson,
who said she was eight months pregnant, said that after
going to the restroom multiple times, she told a security
guard that she might be giving birth.
"But
the guard thought she was joking, she said. It wasn't
until after her water broke that security officers tended
to her, she said.
"…Soon
after, Qualeem, a boy weighing less than 5 pounds, was
born…"
Sands ready for implosion

"Giving
a sneak peek of its plans, casino operator Pinnacle Entertainment
Inc. says it will use Atlantic City's upscale Borgata
Hotel Casino & Spa and two megaresorts on the Las
Vegas Strip as models for its new project.
"…Construction
is expected to start in 2008, with a grand opening in
2011. The casino likely will feature 2,000 hotel rooms,
between 120,000 and 125,000 square feet of gaming space,
high-end retail shops and a large entertainment venue…"
