"Dresses of Diana, Princess of Wales Exhibition" Opens at Tropicana

Tropicana Atlantic City and The People's Princess Charitable Foundation, Inc. are presenting an exhibit of dresses worn by the late Diana, Princess of Wales.

The collection of 18 dresses, each worn at least once by the late Diana, Princess of Wales, is owned by Maureen Rorech, founder of The People's Princess Charitable Foundations, Inc., a non-profit corporation that oversees the management and fundraising for the group's Dresses for Humanity World Tour.

The late Diana, Princess of Wales raised million of dollars for a variety of charities during her short life. In tribute to her wish that these dresses be used for humanitarian purposes, proceeds from ticket sales to "Dresses of Diana, Princess of Wales Exhibit" will be donated to charities that raise money for children, AIDS or cancer.

Tropicana is currently in the process of selecting the charities that will benefit from this event. The exhibit opens 7 days a week from 10:00 am - 10:00 pm through December 28, 2000. Tickets, priced at $13.95 for adults, $11.95 for seniors and $6.95 for children (ages 5-11), are available at the Tropicana Box Office.

Mohegan Sun officials announced September 25 that Michael Jordan's popular Steak House and Michael Jordan's 23 will open in the fall of 2001..

Under the agreement between Jump Higher, L.L.C. of Chicago and Mohegan Sun, Michael Jordan's - The Steak House and Michael Jordan's 23 will occupy a combined 14,500 square feet of space and seat approximately 400 patrons in the new retail/dining complex, The Shops at Mohegan Sun, due to open in October 2001 as part of Mohegan Sun's four-million-square-foot "Project Sunburst'' expansion. The restaurants will enjoy prime locations near a 1,200-room luxury hotel tower and meeting facilities that are slated for completion in spring 2002.

The Michael Jordan restaurants are the first of nine exciting new dining establishments planned as part of "Project Sunburst'', the largest private development on the East Coast. Award-winning architect Ilan Waisbrod of Studio GAIA in New York will design the Michael Jordan restaurants at Mohegan Sun.

Michael Jordan's - The Steak House at Mohegan Sun will offer world-class steaks in a contemporary world-class setting that reflects Michael's refined, masculine sense of style.

The arena-shaped Michael Jordan's 23 will evoke the excitement of center court. An all-American grill, Michael Jordan's 23 will feature large stretched-fabric screens featuring highlights from Michael Jordan's basketball career.

Owned by the Mohegan Tribal Nation, Mohegan Sun is one of the largest, most distinctive and spectacular destinations in the United States. It is situated in scenic Southeastern Connecticut on 240 acres along the Thames River in the town of Uncasville.
