Announces Status of Texas Bingo Halls
- AUSTIN, TX - Littlefield Corporation will open two new
bingo halls in Texas. Grandview Bingo Hall in Amarillo,
Texas is slated to open October 1st. When the hall opens,
Littlefield Entertainment will be operating three out
of the four halls in Amarillo, Texas. Triple City Bingo
near McAllen, Texas will open sometime in November 2001.
This represents the Company's second foray into bingo
in the Rio Grande Valley of Texas.

real estate and hospitality businesses.
Saint Regis Mohawk
Tribe and Sullivan County to Bring Resort Casino to the
Catskills
- MONTICELLO, NY - Gaming giant Park Place Entertainment
Corp. announced on August 10 that the Saint Regis Mohawk
Tribe and Sullivan County have reached an agreement in
principle that is a major step toward bringing a resort/casino
to the Catskills.
Local
leaders, the Saint Regis Mohawk Tribe and Park Place Entertainment
all view this agreement as a major milestone in making
the project a reality. With the agreement in place, the
county will give the Bureau of Indian Affairs its official
approval of the casino/resort and urge the Department
of the Interior to take the land in trust.
The
agreement is subject to approval by the Sullivan County
Legislature and the Saint Regis Mohawk Tribal Council.
Park
Place Entertainment owns, manages or has an interest in
29 gaming properties operating under the Bally's, Caesars,
Flamingo, Grand Casinos, Hilton and Paris brand names
with a total of approximately 2 million square feet of
gaming space, more than 28,000 hotel rooms and approximately
60,000 employees worldwide.
