East
Tower at Trump Plaza Goes Smoke Free
ATLANTIC CITY,
NJ -- Patrons looking to clear the air while playing their favorite
slots got their wishes answered on October 3 as the East Tower of
the Trump Plaza Hotel
& Casino went smoke-free.
Trump Plaza
had only one non-smoking slot area that featured about 170 slots
on its main casino floor. The East Tower Casino will add more than
15,000 square feet and 603 slots machines in a smoke free environment.
"Slot players
have always enjoyed the total entertainment concept of the East
Tower, including the Poker Bar, the televisions, the video wall,
and the general atmosphere of the East Tower with its natural lighting
(via skylights) and ocean and Boardwalk views," said Larry Mullin,
president of Trump Plaza.
To help celebrate
the grand opening of the Smoke Free casino the Trump Plaza launched
a $15,000 Smoke Free Sweepstakes in which players competed for a
$10,000 top prize with five additional $1,000 prizes. During the
"Smoke Free" celebration the Trump Plaza also hosted a blood drive
with the American Red Cross. "We want to get the word out that we're
doing something good for our customers and something good for the
community at the same time," said Mullin. Trump Plaza employees
donated 169 pints of blood in last year's drive.
Trump Plaza,
located at the Boardwalk and Mississippi Avenue, is one of three
Trump Hotel Casino Resorts properties operating in Atlantic City.
The others are The
Trump Taj Mahal and the Trump
Marina. Trump Hotel Casino Resorts also operate the Trump
Hotel Casino in Gary, IN.
