Casino Opens in Indiana

-- Belterra Casino Resort opened at its new home here by the Markland
Dam Friday, October 27.
"We've waited
a long time for this day and we're extremely excited about introducing
our extraordinary casino to the public," said John Spina, vice president
and general manager.
Located about
45 miles from Cincinnati in southeast Indiana, The Belterra Casino
Resort also offers a 15-story hotel with 308 deluxe rooms and suites.
The hotel will also have a full service health spa and offer 24-hour
room service. The property has six restaurants including; The Belterra
Buffet, Fireside Steak House, Ocean Grill, The Seafood Bar, Rockwell's
Cafe and The Deli which is located in the casino. The resort also
houses an 18-hole championship golf course designed by Tom Fazio
(scheduled to open late summer 2001) and a 1500-seat showroom due
to open Thanksgiving Weekend to the tunes of country band Alabama.
The 38,000 sq.
ft. riverboat casino holds 2700 passengers and 300 crew members.
The casino has 1350 of the new slot machines and 57 table games
including; Craps, Roulette, Blackjack, Caribbean Stud, Wild Aruba
Stud, Caribbean Draw and Mini Baccarat. Belterra Casino Resort will
offer free admission to enter the casino.
The Belterra
is Indiana's tenth riverboat casino. It was due to open in August
but a collision with a barge on the Mississippi River caused a delay.

Resort is owned by Pinnacle Entertainment Inc., headquartered in
Glendale, CA. The Company also owns and operates six other casinos
in the US and Argentina, including Casino Magic and Boomtown.
