DALLAS, TX - The largest slot machine jackpot in Louisiana casino history was won at Hollywood Casino in Shreveport on March 8, as a Texas firefighter captured $8.1 million on a quarter progressive machine.
47-year old Richard Lee Massey, a fireman from Livingston, Texas, was playing a 25-cent Jeopardy!® progressive slot machine, just after eight o'clock on March 8, when he hit the progressive jackpot of $8,152,574.34. That is the largest 25-cent jackpot in history and the largest slot machine jackpot of any denomination in Louisiana history.
