Ameristar Casinos Seeks Candidates
For Key Positions

LAS VEGAS - Management at Ameristar Casinos St. Charles announced on July 9 that recruitment efforts for the approximately 800 positions available at the all-new $360 million facility are going well. Currently, approximately 100 positions are still available, primarily in areas that will support Ameristar's seven new restaurant and entertainment venues.

"Job openings do remain in some important areas such as cooks and beverage servers," reports Ameristar's Vice President of Human Resources Carolyn Dobbs. "We warmly welcome individuals who are both experienced and customer service-oriented to apply. We are evaluating all qualified candidates who would like to be a part of the Ameristar Casinos team."

When it opens its doors to the public at 10 p.m. Aug. 6, Ameristar's new property will be supported by nearly 1,800 team members, and the company will officially become the largest employer in St. Charles. "We have been making rapid progress toward our aggressive recruitment goals," says Dobbs. "It is interesting to note, for example, that Ameristar's Food & Beverage division has expanded so rapidly that the number of restaurant managers has increased from 15 to 58 in just three weeks."

Potential candidates are encouraged to place applications throughout the next week. The Ameristar Career Center is located at 1366 South Fifth Street, in St. Charles (north of Highway 70). The hours are 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., Monday through Friday, and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Saturday.
