LAS VEGAS - Cruz Hernandez of Escondido, California, lined up the winning symbols and hit the jackpot for $1,326,505.08 on a Millionaire 777s progressive slot machine at the Valley View Casino in Valley Center, just north of Escondido on April 24.

Hernandez, a regular player at Valley View, had dreamed the week before that she had won big. She had been playing a different machine for a while and decided to put $10 in the $1 slot machine next to her. On her third pull she hit the jackpot.

"I am going to pay all my bills, help my family and pay off my house," said the happy winner. "I have a big family in Tijuana and I don't want to work anymore," she added.
