LAS VEGAS – Jerry Nemeth of Marion hoped his vacation trip to the Flamingo Las Vegas Resort on Feb. 12th would result in winnings, but he didn't expect to be able to retire.

The 58-year-old Tri-Rivers Career Center custodian's $1,016,389.22 win at 4:21 p.m. on the trademark registered "Wheel of Fortune" IGT $1 progressive slot machine enabled him to send a message to his boss.

"Tell Roger Richards he's going to have to find somebody else right away - I resign," the new millionaire said with glee. Richards is the head custodian at Tri-Rivers Career Center on Marion-Mount Gilead Road.

"Well, good,"’ Richards said when informed of Nemeth's good fortune. "That's just great, and I wish him the best. I couldn't be happier for him."

"I felt great," Jerry recounted. "I jumped out of the chair and shouted 'I won the jackpot.' I got cold chills. It's wonderful. I can retire."
