- Las Vegas casino Caesars
Palace is expanding its Roman-themed shopping mall, raising
it to three levels and adding an entrance on the Las Vegas Strip,
Simon Property Group Inc. and Park Place Entertainment Corp.
said late on February 25th.
The expansion will open by fall 2004, adding 175,000 square
foot to the 500,000 square foot indoor mall, one of the world's
most profitable retail spaces.
The 175,000-square-foot,
three-level expansion will extend from the existing mall to
the Las Vegas Strip. The addition will feature upscale specialty
retail tenants as well as several new fine-dining restaurants,
the companies said.
"This
newest expansion provides the opportunity to further solidify
the Forum Shops' position as one of the country's premier shopping
and entertainment destinations for both domestic and international
visitors," Simon Property Group Chief Executive Officer
David
Simon said.
Recent additions
to the mall include Valentino, Tod's, Chopard, MAC Cosmetics,
D&G Sport, Dolce & Gabbana and Roberty Cavalli. Soon
to open include Torneau, Jay Strongwater and Burberry. Joe's
Seafood, Prime Steak & Stone Crab and Donald Pliner also
expect to open restaurants in the mall.

The

Louis Vuitton,
which is tripling in size, and Christian Dior also are undergoing
expansions at the mall.
The Forum
Shops with 283,000 square feet in 1992 and was the first high-end
shopping center on the Las Vegas Strip. Forum Shop officials
say the mall greets 50,000 shoppers a day and 18 million in
2002.

Golden
Gulch Casino Opens in Black Hawk, Colorado
RAPID
CITY, SD – The Golden
Gulch Casino, formerly Jazz Alley Casino, recently
opened after renovations and improvements. The property
opened
with 125 gaming devices, with plans of expanding to 240
gaming devices by September 30, 2003.
Concorde
Gaming Corporation purchased the former Jazz Alley Casino
property located in Black Hawk, Colorado through its wholly
owned subsidiary, Concorde Blackhawk Corporation, for
approximately $1.6 million in December 2002.

believe the opening of our Golden
Gulch Casino will enhance our profitability in the
upcoming years," commented Jerry Baum, President
and CEO of Concorde Gaming. "We plan to take full
advantage of the operational efficiencies that exist between
the Golden
Gates and Gold
Gulch Casino's to improve our financial results."
Concorde
Gaming owns and operates three gaming properties with
over 600 gaming devices in operation. The Company operates
two limited stakes gaming properties, the Golden
Gates Casino and Golden
Gulch Casino, both in Black Hawk, Colorado, and a
day-cruise gaming property, the Casino
Princesa based out of Miami, Florida.
