LAS
VEGAS - When guests book rooms at the all-suite Venetian
Resort Hotel Casino this summer, they will have a tough
choice to make: luxury or more luxury? Building upon a tradition
that has made it one of the world's most sought-after hotel
and meeting destinations, The
Venetian will open an additional 1,013 suites in a new tower
named "Venezia" in late June.
Separate
from the current 3,036 all-suite hotel tower that features the
largest standard rooms in the world according to the Guinness
Book of World Records, "Venezia" is a part of the
resort's $275 million expansion that will provide The
Venetian with a total number of 4,049 suites, making the
Venice-themed luxury resort the third largest hotel in the world
by room count. As a hotel-within-a-hotel, the 1,013 suite "Venezia"
will debut an exclusive concierge-level of 122 suites complete
with private access, upgraded amenities, a business lounge and
an appointed staff of hotel personnel.
"Venezia"
will overlook a lavish pool deck reminiscent of a Venetian garden.
With breathtaking vistas, the garden will feature a swimming
pool and three spas, ornate gazebos and five languid fountains.
Additionally, the new tower will be home to an exciting new
restaurant concept by one of the world's top chefs and will
feature The
Venetian's first wedding chapel with seating up to 150 people
which can be separated into three smaller chapels.
Much like
The
Venetian's award-winning suites, the standard luxury suite
accommodations of "Venezia" will average over 700
sq. ft., but their nine and a half (9' 6") foot ceilings
will allow for a greater sense of space. The standard suite
will include a spacious private bed chamber with draped canopies,
an oversized 130 sq. ft. bathroom finished in Italian marble,
and a sunken living room area furnished with a convertible sofa,
two upholstered chairs, a desk and a dining table. The suite
functions as not only a place to relax or entertain, but as
a place to work if necessary. The standard room has three telephones
complete with high-speed Internet
|
access,
data ports and a fax machine that doubles as a copier and computer
printer. Additionally, the room features a safe large enough
for a laptop computer, a fully stocked mini-bar and two 27"
color televisions -- one inside a bedroom armoire, the other
located inside an entertainment center in the living room. But,
the lavishness has only just begun.
As
an exclusive facility within The
Venetian, "Venezia" will grant guests a separate
and distinctive experience. Unique to Las Vegas will be "Venezia's"
exclusive Concierge Level, where the top five floors on the
west side of "Venezia" (Las Vegas Boulevard) will
include 122 suites. These Concierge Level suites will come complete
with appointed concierge services, including quarters of unsurpassed
spaciousness, thoughtfulness
and taste.
The new
expansion will also include an additional 150,000 sq. ft. of
exhibit and ballroom space containing 42 meeting rooms and 22
new boardrooms.
The Venetian
Resort Hotel Casino is one of the world's most luxurious
resort and convention destinations. Recreating Venice's legendary
landmarks, the resort offers unmatched service and quality for
leisure and corporate guests. Located in the heart of the Las
Vegas Strip, The
Venetian features The Grand Canal Shoppes, an indoor streets
cape complete with gondolas and singing gondoliers, the Canyon
Ranch Spa Club, world-class gaming, 17 fine dining restaurants,
the Guggenheim-Hermitage Museum, and a wide variety of entertainment
venues on its premises as well as extensive convention and
corporate services.

Bellagio
Breaks Ground on Spa Tower
LAS
VEGAS - Building on its unrivaled reputation for luxury
and service, the AAA Five Diamond Bellagio
broke ground April 29th on its $375 million Spa Tower.
In addition to 925 luxurious rooms and suites, the new
tower will feature an expansion of the resort's elegant
spa and salon, additional meeting and convention space,
added retail and a casually elegant restaurant.
"Today's
groundbreaking signals a dynamic undertaking," said
Robert H. Baldwin, President and CEO of Mirage Resorts.
"The demand for Bellagio
has been extraordinary since we first opened our doors
in 1998. The Spa Tower will allow us to invite new audiences
to experience the elegance and romance of Bellagio."
With
the completion of the Spa Tower in December 2004, Bellagio
guests will undertake a spectacular and exclusive journey.
Upon arrival, guests will pass through stunning classical
gardens before making a grand entrance through Bellagio's
famed conservatory. Guests will then weave their way along
a magnificent 50-foot, glass-walled corridor, experiencing
glorious views of Bellagio's
Mediterranean-style pool courtyards before reaching the
private elevators that access the Spa Tower rooms.
Strategically
located on the south side of Bellagio's
main pool and courtyard, the Spa Tower will provide direct
access to the newly expanded spa and salon, where guests
can relax in pampered solitude. An expansion of the resort's
award-winning meeting and convention space will add 60,000
square feet. Within the comfort of the elegant guest rooms
and suites, guests will be assured connectivity to the
world at large through high-speed fiber optic cabling.
"Bellagio
has earned an unmatched reputation from a very discerning
traveling public," said Terry Lanni, Chairman of
the Board and Chief Executive Officer for MGM MIRAGE.
"As testament to this, demand for Bellagio
has grown consistently year over year since opening. With
this expansion, we will be in a position to meet this
unparalleled demand."
Inspired
by the beautiful villages of Europe, Bellagio
overlooks a Mediterranean-blue eight-acre lake in which
fountains perform a magnificent aquatic ballet choreographed
to music and lights. Within Bellagio
are award- winning dining experiences including Picasso,
a AAA Five Diamond restaurant, the elegant Petrossian
Lounge, a world-class art gallery, exquisite gardens,
Cirque du Soleil's stunning performance of "O,"
luxurious spa services and an elegant casino. The resort's
shopping promenade, Via Bellagio, features upscale shops
including Giorgio Armani, Gucci, Tiffany & Co., Prada,
Fred Leighton, Hermes, Moschino and Yves Saint Laurent.
Bellagio is the recipient of the AAA Five-Diamond Award
for 2003.
