Hotel Casino & Spa announced on July 17th it will
sponsor a special air show in cooperation with the city
of Atlantic City and the 177th Fighter Wing, New Jersey
Air National Guard on Wednesday, August 27, 2003. The
entire air show, including the U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds
and U.S. Army Golden Knights Parachute Team, will take
place in front of the famed Atlantic City Boardwalk. Free
to the public, the air show commemorates the 100th anniversary
of powered flight.

The
famed U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds, celebrating their 50th
anniversary in 2003, will put on a demonstration of speed
and precision in their signature F-16 Fighting Falcons,
executing creative formation maneuvers, wing tip to wing
tip, above the Boardwalk. For vintage war bird buffs,
one of WWII's premier fighters, the heralded P-51 Mustang,
will demo its superior fighting capabilities.

The
Airshow will feature renowned airshow announcer Gordon
Bowman-Jones and will be conducted by the 177th Fighter
Wing with assistance from David Schultz Airshows, LLC.

the 100th anniversary of powered flight, the men and women
of the 177th Fighter Wing want to express their appreciation
for the outstanding support the surrounding communities
have shown since our mobilization in support of Operation
NOBLE EAGLE and the global war on terrorism," said
Colonel Michael Cosby, Commander of the 177th Fighter
Wing. "What better way to show that appreciation
then to host a free air show over the beautiful beaches
of Atlantic City."

is the first major aviation show staged in Atlantic City
in more than a decade and the first along the Boardwalk
in well over 50 years," said Mayor Lorenzo Langford.
"We welcome back an air show of this magnitude to
the shores of Atlantic City. This is an event that is
unparalleled in Atlantic City and promises to become a
major draw for future visitors."
The
air show, which is free to the public, begins at 11:00
a.m. on Wednesday, August 27th and concludes at 3:00 p.m.
Borgata,
a $1 billion joint venture with Boyd Gaming Corporation
and MGM MIRAGE, is located at Renaissance Pointe in Atlantic
City, NJ. The property features 2,002 guest rooms and
suites, 125,000 square feet of gaming, 11 retail shops,
