Sun Accepting Reservations For Its New Hotel
UNCASVILLE,
CT - In anticipation of opening its luxury 34-story, 1,200-room
hotel in mid-April, Mohegan
Sun, a premier entertainment, gaming and meeting destination
on the East Coast, is now taking reservations. The hotel's opening
will mark the completion of Mohegan
Sun's $1.1 billion "Project Sunburst'' expansion, the largest
private development on the East Coast.
Designed by the Atlanta-based interior design firm Hirsch Bedner
Associates, the guestrooms and suites were created with the needs
of both business and leisure travelers in mind. The elegantly appointed
rooms will feature deluxe amenities, including three, two-line telephones
with dataports and voice mail; full-size working desk area with
ergonomic chair; oversized lounging chair with ottoman; in-room
refreshment and entertainment center, including web and e-mail access,
video in-room dining menus and ordering, bill review and check-out
accessibility; and a state-of-the-art electronic security entry
system. In addition, all guestrooms will feature views of either
the Thames River or the scenic New England countryside.
River suites average 872 square feet and feature a spacious bedroom,
1 1/2 baths and separate living room space. The hotel's one-bedroom
Sky suites, perfect for intimate cocktail parties, average 1,110
square feet and feature a deluxe king bed, 1 1/2 baths with special
windowed-bath overlooking the foothills of southeastern Connecticut,
and separate living and dining areas.
