Harley-Davidson
Video Slots Roar Into Nevada
LAS VEGAS -
IGT's Harley-Davidson® Video Slots have "gone live"
at Coast Casinos' four Las Vegas properties, making Nevada the third
gaming jurisdiction to install the much-anticipated slot theme.
Missouri riverboats and California's Native American casinos began
offering the innovative slot product in March and April, respectively,
and sales in several other jurisdictions, including Michigan and
Mississippi, are expected to begin in a few weeks.
With
this game, IGT introduces Rapid Riches MegaJackpots(TM), a new line
of linked progressives designed to pay with increased frequency.
John Sears, IGT's Vice President of MegaJackpots, says that he expects
the Harley-Davidson MegaJackpots(TM) award to hit about once a month
in most jurisdictions.
It is also the only IGT MegaJackpots(TM) game to include a consumer
item as part of the top prize. Winners will receive a special edition
Harley-Davidson® Fat Boy® motorcycle in addition to a cash
award of at least $50,000. As an iGame-Plus(TM) Series machine,
the game also includes a wheel that is activated during the video
animated Road Rally(TM) and Great American Rally(TM) bonus games,
an enhanced sound package and an impressive top box emblazoned with
the familiar Harley-Davidson® logo.
"After just a day or so, the games have definitely found an
audience," said Terry Lindberg, director of marketing for Coast
Casinos. "Player response has been enthusiastic with a wide
demographic appeal."
In Nevada, Coast has a first-to-market agreement with IGT for the
Harley-Davidson® game and until Sunday, May 19, it is available
only at the Barbary
Coast, the Gold
Coast, the Orleans
and the Suncoast
casinos. Beginning May 20, the game will be more widely available
at other Nevada casinos.
Developed under license from the world-famous motorcycle company,
Harley-Davidson Video Slots joins 18 other Nevada MegaJackpots(TM)
systems developed and operated by IGT, the manufacturing of gaming
machines and proprietary software for progressive gaming systems.
The MegaJackpots(TM) award requires a maximum wager, and the cash
portion of the Harley-Davidson® progressive prize is paid upon
verification of the jackpot. Winners are presented with a certificate
redeemable when their limited edition Fat Boy® is ready for
delivery.
