Ameristar
Casino Hotel Vicksburg
Completes Expansion
VICKSBURG, MS
- Ameristar
Casino Vicksburg has completed its renovation and expansion
project totaling approximately $10 million. The facility has enhanced
and increased its amenities, and will open its newest entertainment
offering, the Bottleneck Blues Bar on July 11.
The completed
property enhancements include the expansion of the buffet; the installation
of high definition plasma screens throughout the facility to broadcast
special events; creation of a VIP players lounge; remodeling of
the poker room and Overlook Bar; and new and expanded casino cages.
In addition, the property also underwent a complete change in landscape
design, which created a scenic gateway to the virtually new entertainment
facility.
The nearly complete
Bottleneck Blues Bar is an exciting new club providing great live
entertainment. This jumpin' joint will offer a unique selection
of regional cuisine, and will provide 11 big screen televisions
for special event viewing. The Bottleneck Blues Bar will open on
July 11 with Eddie Cotton and the Mississippi Cotton Club scheduled
to perform at 8 p.m.
"We are pleased
to announce the completion of this project,'' says General Manager
Ray Neilsen. "With these enhancements and amenity additions in place,
Ameristar will provide a new and
|

exciting environment
for its guests. We have integrated EZ Pay into the casino, added
a new VIP lounge, and will be offering a variety of well-known blues
entertainers and authentic Southern cuisine selections in the new
Bottleneck Blues Bar.''
