2000 Gaming Innovator Award

ST. JOHN'S, Antigua - Casino Promote, was awarded Internet Gaming Innovator for 2000 for Leadership in Marketing at the 4th Annual Symposium on Internet Gambling Law and Management, organized by BioConferences International held here November 26-29.

CasinoPromote, a division of ITS Ventures, which owns and operates Casino City, was recognized for its excellence as a portal site providing comprehensive gaming information including a directory that encompasses every gaming site in the world and a vendor directory for companies that service the gaming community.

Information Technology Systems, the parent company of ITS Ventures, based in Newton, MA, recently celebrated its ten-year anniversary. It has been operating the Casino City website for since 1995. It recently acquired the Nevada-based, Nevada Gaming Publishing, producers of the popular Casino Business Directory, a business-to-business guide on management and gaming information on more than 650 gaming properties in North America.

In addition to the Casino Business Directory they publish the Nevada Gaming Almanac and the Colorado/Mississippi/New Jersey Gaming Almanac both are publications for the gaming community.

This is the third year the awards have been presented. Previous winners include Plus Lotto, Inland Entertainment, You Bet, Bally Gaming Systems, Antigua, and William Hill.

Las Vegas is Terrible(s)

Terrible's Hotel & Casino opened December 6, replacing the 20-year old Continental Hotel Casino on Paradise Road.

LAS VEGAS, NV - In the ever changing landscape of Las Vegas, Terribles Hotel Casino opened its doors on December 6 replacing the Continental Hotel Casino on the corner of Flamingo and Paradise roads.

The Tuscany-themed hotel-casino will have 380 hotel rooms and 750 slot machines. It will also have eight table games, a sports book, a bingo parlor and a pool and spa. The Continental hotel-casino closed more than a year ago after twenty years.

E-T-T Gaming Inc., also owns and operates a number of slots in 80 service stations throughout Southern Nevada. They are also one of the state's largest slot route operators with nearly 7,500 slot machines in Vons, Albertson's and Safeway grocery stores. It also includes slots in Rite Aid, Savon and Kmart stores throughout Nevada.

E-T-T Gaming Inc., is a family-owned business that also owns and operates Terrible's Town Casino and Terrible's Lakeside Casino & Recreational Vehicle Park in Pahrump and Terrible's Town bowling alley in Henderson.
